Switzerland’s biodiversity crisis is amongst the worst in Europe. About 90% of the land area is under cultivation or management, with bioabundance far below historical levels and every 45th native plant/animal already extinct.
Swiss Conservation has a Gap
Despite local rewilding efforts and considerable public support and enthusiasm for rewilding, there is no organisation solely focused on connecting, representing, and promoting rewilding at the national level. This leads to an underutilisation of the approach within the country.
